We offer a range of pitches that vary in size, but in general they are approximately 100m2. Please note that we have a ‘strictly no commercial vehicles allowed on park’ policy and only British made coach built caravans and motorhomes are allowed. The yurts are made in 3 layers, an outer canvas, a mid layer of insulation and a inner lining layer which is of a soft cotton and complements the natural wooden frame they include the following: Woodburner, fully stocked kitchen, proper table and chairs, opening windows for when the woodburner makes the yurt a little too toasty, lockable door, BBQ/Firepit with seating, futons or beds for sleeping on, LED lighting, bedding provided and a basket of wood for the wood burner.

All of our facilities are fully accessible for wheelchairs. We also have a disabled wet room and a separate disabled toilet and can recommend pitches closer to facilities for even better access.
Blawith, Ulverston, CumbriaDodgson Wood Campsite is set within secluded ancient woodland, close to the shore of Coniston Water in Cumbria. Rented exclusively, you can enjoy the peace and tranquility this beautiful place has to offer with just your group of friends or family. Its situated just outside of Blawith and just a short drive to Ulverston within The Lake District National Park.
The site is let as a whole, taking up to twenty five people and is ideal for large families and outdoor education groups. Only six vehicles can have access to the site to minimize erosion and wildlife disruption. A track runs through the site which is used only by us to access the land above and occasionally bring sheep and cattle to and from the fells, otherwise the site is your own.

The Shepherd Huts each have their own outside brazier and bench and we are happy to accept one well behaved dog.

Breakfasts and cakes are served from the small on-site cafe. There is a pub (Travellers Rest) within walking distance and two more in Hope village, which also has takeaways and a shop.
There are electric hook-ups available for around 9 pitches. The site is mainly used by small tents campers and is a good base for walking or climbing in the area. The site is next to the local railway line, so there may be some noise.
