A small, approximately 1 acre, private site for campers, caravanners, and motorhomes nestling in the foothills of the Peak District.
The campsite is located behind The Wild Boar Inn. Turning off the main A54 and passing through the pub car park you enter a second car park (allocated for hard standing pitches) through which the camping field is accessed via a gate.
The camping field itself occupies a raised position and offers panoramic views across the surrounding countryside. The field is bordered by secure fencing beyond which is lush meadow farmland.
Tents can be pitched informally around the camping field.
The new toilet and shower block comprising 2 shower rooms 3 toilets. Hot water washing up area and waste disposal point water point. A dishwashing area and picnic benches are also available.
Fires are not allowed but raised BBQ's welcome thereby protecting the grass from unsightly burn marks.
Full card payment on booking. No refunds given but alternative dates arranged.
DOE Groups, rallies welcome but no other groups.
There is live music occasionally on Saturday nights in the pub.
Rates: From £9 per adult. A card deposit is taken on all bookings.
£5 for electric.
Dogs £1.
Open all year round.
