Low Greenside Farm is a quite friendly site located just outside of Ravenstonedale and just a short drive from the bustling Cumbrian market town of Kirkby Stephen. Set on a sheep farm there are beautiful views over the surrounding rolling countryside all around.
We offer our campers 'camping as it used to be', so pitches are set around the edge of a large field with lots of room between, very spacious and plenty of space for even the biggest of tents. Campfires are allowed in the hearths provided and you can buy logs at the farm.
Facilities at the campsite include:
Free hot showers.
Sockets for hairdryers, phone charging etc.
Hot water for washing up.
Fridge and ice pack freezing.
Visitor information and leaflets for local walks.
Bike washing facilities.
Undercover storage/indoor area by arrangement.
1 electric hook up point available on site.
For those who want a different break away - why not stay in our brand new yurt! It can sleep up to 5 people and offers glamping accommodation, perfect for a special break away.
Two friendly village pubs serving very good food and real ales are a pretty ten to 15-minute walk along the lane or across the fields.
There are varied and beautiful hill or valley walks from the campsite through lovely countryside. Up to date info is provided on recommended places to walk, eat and visit, countryside events and days out. We can also supply you with a handy little booklet: 'Nine great walks from Low Greenside Farm'.
The Lakes, the Dales and the lovely Eden Valley are all close by for days out. There is direct access onto the Howgill Fells for long walks with only sheep and ponies to keep you company!
