Buford town centre is just a five-minute walk from the site with shops, pubs and places to eat. There are so many things to see and do in the area around. William Morris called Bibury "the most beautiful village in England" and it remains most attractive in its setting alongside the river. The 14th Century Arlington Row provides the focal point. Our spacious safari tents, Yellowhammer and Lapwing, are situated at either end of a lovely grassy meadow. They are far enough apart to ensure privacy and your complete peace, but near enough to walk to if your friends are in the other tent. Both tents are the same size and are similarly, but individually, furnished. Each sleeps six people in a king bedroom, twin bedroom and double cabin bed. Stonehenge Campsite & Glamping is a family friendly, multi awarding winning site located at Berwick St James and just a short drive from Salisbury in Wiltshire. We are the closest campsite to wonderful Stonehenge and you can enjoy a range of fantastic walking and biking routes in the area.
We sit in a secluded semiwoodland setting and offer good walking, woods, streams and a local farm shop directly from the site. It is teeming with wildlife and bird song in the morning and owls and bats at night. This is one of the unique things about our campsite. We are the only campsite in Wiltshire that allows real fixed open campfires. On the campfire field and meadow field we have multiple fire pits for hire at £20 this includes £10 worth of logs. These grass pitches are located in the Campfire & Meadow field. These are all level grass pitches, suitable for a range of tent sizes, trailer tents and small VWs and come with limited electric hook up and access to water. Our small campsite comprises two small paddocks, both of less than one acre. One of these which is slightly sloping is used for members of the Caravan & Camping Club while the other is used for tents. Six of the caravan pitches have electric hook-up and the shower and toilets are situated about forty yards from the field. Our caravan and camping park is open from Easter until the end of October. We have 28 electric hook-up points and there is also an area for tents and caravans or motor homes that do not require electricity. We welcome a small number of contractors throughout the year. Please contact us for details. The campsite field is grassy, level and flat, and is open plan, although the individual plots with hook up are clearly marked.
