Fishery Creek Touring Park offers a peaceful coastal escape on Hayling Island in Hampshire, positioned beside a tidal creek that links directly to the scenic Langstone and Chichester Harbours. This special setting within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty creates a calm, waterside atmosphere perfect for relaxing or exploring.
Guests can enjoy great food and friendly service at The Galleon Bistro, while The SUP Hut provides everything needed for paddleboarding, from equipment hire and purchase to expert tuition. The park’s own tidal slipway opens up a range of water-based activities, making it an inviting place for swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, setting off in small boats or trying your hand at crabbing and fishing for bass. There are many scenic walks accessible directly from the park, and Hayling Island’s award-winning Blue Flag beach is only a short stroll away.
The park itself offers a mixture of well-drained grassland and shingle pitches in a range of sizes. Prime pitches overlook the waterfront, offering views of the tidal creek or the adjacent lake and creating a true waterside camping experience. Plus pitches sit just one row behind the creek front, while standard pitches are centrally located. Whether visiting with a small tent or a large 10-metre caravan, there is a suitable pitch for every type of camper.
Most pitches include electric hook-up and multiple water points and motorhome service points are spread throughout the park for convenience. Pitches are individually spaced with post-and-rope boundaries to make the most of the park’s open layout. Tarmac, grass or shingle access roads lead to all pitches and to the private slipway.
Guests have access to the tidal creek for paddleboarding, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, fishing and the use of small seacraft. Facilities include an onsite restaurant, two motorhome service points, multiple water points, grey-waste and chemical-disposal facilities, electric hook-up pitches and free Wi-Fi. There are two spacious washing-up areas with sinks and hot water, accessible toilet and shower facilities with continuous hot water and heated floors, and a laundry room with washers, a dryer and ironing boards. A large play area offers climbing frames and a nearby grass area provides space for picnics and games. A small shop in reception sells everyday essentials.
The park has been awarded the Gold David Bellamy Award in recognition of its commitment to minimising environmental impact and its dedication to maintaining a wildlife-friendly environment. Its unique location fosters rich biodiversity and this is carefully preserved so future generations can enjoy it. Wildlife areas can be found throughout the park as you explore the grounds.
Hayling Island itself is a distinctive part of the South East Coast of England. Linked to the mainland by a road bridge, it often feels as though you are entering a different world as you cross over the sea. Its location brings slightly warmer weather than the mainland, earning it the nickname “Hampshire’s Sunshine Island.” The landscape is completely flat, making it an ideal destination for outdoor holidays in a mild and pleasant climate.
We are open from the 1st March to the 31st of October.
