Harry’s Field is a quiet campsite situated among country lanes and hedgerows rich with wildlife. Located in the heart of Fordingbridge’s New Forest camping area, it has earned its place among the Sunday Times’ top 40 UK campsites. Designed by campers for campers, this site reflects generations of expertise and a genuine love for the outdoors.
Found in the hamlet of Frogham, Harry’s Field offers well-thought-out pitches and 10 bell tents for glamping. The site is both family-friendly and dog-friendly, offering a peaceful and beautiful environment for everyone to enjoy. Amenities include proper flushing toilets and a modern shower block with hot, high-pressure showers. A charming flower-covered courtyard with tables, chairs and a wood-burning stove provides a cosy communal space, perfect for relaxing with a drink. The on-site camping kitchen barn adds further convenience with hot water for washing up. Please note, there is no electric hook up here.
Food at Harry’s Field is a real treat. Every Saturday night, a wood-fired pizza oven turns out delicious fresh pizzas and each morning begins with expertly brewed cappuccinos and warm pastries, including croissants and pains au chocolat, courtesy of the resident barista.
The campsite is ideally placed for exploring the great outdoors, with countless walking trails right on the doorstep. These paths weave through ancient woodlands and across stunning heathlands, part of the New Forest’s extensive 140-mile network of hiking and cycling routes. Just ten metres from the campsite is The Foresters, an award-winning pub known for its local ales and quality food, making it an easy and enjoyable dinner option.
A short ten-minute stroll from the site brings you to one of the New Forest’s best-kept secrets, the stream at Ogdens. This idyllic spot is perfect for a peaceful family picnic along the meandering brook, where children can play and try their luck catching minnows with the campsite’s supply of fishing nets.
