When they were developing the area they lost a D8 Bulldozer (it sank in the soil) so the Americans covered most of the Park with hardcore up to a depth of 3 feet, brought from local foundries, (which makes pegging in most places quite difficult). The park is situated close to the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales, and many other beautiful locations for enjoying a scenic walk or drive. We are open to short stay tourers from 1st March to 1st December, whereas seasonal caravan owners are welcome to holiday on-site in the open season, from 1st March to 10th January.
