The Dinas Castle Inn is an ideal destination for a memorable getaway in Talgarth, set in the picturesque countryside of the Black Mountains. Guests can enjoy stunning panoramic views of the surrounding hills while staying in a peaceful, scenic location. The inn also provides easy access to a wide range of attractions across Powys, making it a perfect base for exploring the beauty and heritage of this remarkable region.
In the evening, you can gaze at the starry night sky, whilst the ruins of Castell Dinas, the highest ruined castle in England and Wales, are just above us.
Our campsite has 20 pitches available. Please note, they do not come with an electric hook up. For those that fancy an alternative to the traditional camping experience, you can stay in our cosy shepherds hut. Bunkhouse accommodation is also available for up to 28 people.

You can enjoy a drink or two at the bar in front the roaring log fire. There’s also a pool table and a selection of board games available. The inn also offers a range of home-cooked food to tantalise your taste buds, including succulent steaks.
We are near the local towns of Crickhowell and Talgarth, with Hay-on-Wye, Brecon and Abergavenny also nearby. The area has lots of walking and cycling routes to enjoy, whilst horse riding, climbing, canoeing and Kayaking can also be enjoyed. Attractions to visit include:
National Trust - Powis Castle and Garden.
National Showcaves Centre for Wales.
Pistyll Rhaeadr.
Lake Vyrnwy.
