Argoed Barns in Talachddu provides glamping accommodation on the hillside of the Brecon Beacons, ideal for a relaxing getaway in the heart of Powys. Guests can choose between luxury camping pods and a cosy shepherd's hut, both designed with couples in mind, offering comfort, privacy and stunning countryside views. For larger groups, the two units can be booked together to accommodate up to four people. Each glamping unit also features its own private wood-fired hot tub, perfect for unwinding while soaking up the peaceful surroundings.
Seren Bach Glamping Pod
Our glamping pod is based in the upper corner of the field and offers views of the Brecon Beacons, perfect for a romantic getaway. The pod comes with a brass bed including crisp cotton bedding on a goose down topper. There is a sofa, wood-burning stove, wind-up radio and a fully-equipped kitchen. Solar-powered lanterns provide mood lighting. A few feet away there are washroom facilities, plus Myddfai toiletries.
Seren Mawr
We offer accommodation for 2 in our glamping pod. The windows bring in lots of light and inside there is a brass bed and crisp cotton bedding on a goose-down topper. There is a wood-burning stove, sofa, wind-up radio and a fully-equipped kitchen. Solar-powered lanterns provide mood lighting. A few feet away there are washroom facilities, plus Myddfai toiletries.
Shepherd’S hut
Our hut has been designed to our specification and include a full-length bed, plus a wet room including a shower and self-composting loo. There is a drop-leaf oak table, hair dryers, bathrooms and toiletries. Outside there is a decking area with a swing seat to enjoy the views from. The pizza oven and BBQ are perfect for al fresco dining.
We are perfect for enjoying lots of activities in the area, including walking, cycling, horse riding, pony trekking, archery and gliding. You can visit the Brecon Beacons Mountain Centre or explore the town of Hay-on-Wye. Attractions to visit include:
