Y Bwthyn Camping & Glamping

Llandissilio, Clynderwen, Pembrokeshire

Description

Y Bwthyn Camping & Glamping offers the perfect opportunity to get back to nature, with unspoilt views of the Preseli mountains and the surrounding rolling countryside. Set on the edge of a working farm, the site provides easy access from the road while still being well connected to the many attractions of Pembrokeshire.

The campsite is designed to accommodate a variety of visitors, with plenty of space for larger caravans and campervans while still being private and welcoming for smaller tents. It is a small, family-run site on a level field, equipped with 8 non electric pitches and 16 electric hook-ups available (8 x 10 amp and 8 x 16 amp) alongside three cosy log pods. Facilities include a drinking water tap, washing-up area, chemical disposal point, modern toilets and showers. Firepits and firewood are available and barbecues are permitted. Dogs are welcome on the campsite as long as they are kept on a lead and remain well behaved.

Campers are pitched around the edge of the field, leaving the central area free for children to play safely within sight of their parents. Two swing sets and a large open space provide plenty of opportunities for them to burn off energy while families relax nearby.

For those who prefer a little extra comfort, the glamping pods offer a luxurious way to enjoy the outdoors. With stunning views of the Preseli mountains, these insulated log pods are fitted with double glazing and underfloor heating. Each pod is furnished with a double bed, sofa bed and single fold-up bed, making them suitable for a range of sleeping arrangements such as two adults and three children, or four adults and one child. They also include a microwave, kettle, mini-fridge, cups, table and chairs, as well as a television. Outside, guests can enjoy their own picnic table and firepit area for barbecues. Bedding is included unless guests wish to bring their own, in which case the price is reduced. While dogs are welcome at the campsite, they are not permitted inside the pods.

The nearby village of Llandissilio has a traditional Welsh pub that has remained unchanged for generations, offering an authentic local experience. For more variety, the market town of Narberth is just five miles away with a selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, while the county town of Haverfordwest is twelve miles away, complete with a historic castle to explore.

Outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty to enjoy in the surrounding area. Walks and cycle rides begin right on the doorstep, while the Preseli Mountains and Pembrokeshire’s complete coastal path provide more challenging routes for keen walkers. With three sides of the county bordered by the sea, the area is also a haven for fishermen, who can take an organised boat trip or simply cast a line from the beach and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
