Cefn Coed in Penmaenpool offers a magical touring and camping experience. We boast gorgeous fields and stunning woodland, perfect for an idyllic break in Gwynedd.
We are a haven for nature lovers looking to escape the pressures of modern life, nestled in a truly beautiful setting, great for the ultimate wilder camping experience. Our site is surrounded by 75 acres of farmland and forests and is in a great position for exploring the area.
A range of tent pitches are available. The woodland tent pitches are set in secluded clearings in oak woodlands, whilst 5 wooded campervan pitches are based along the borders of our woodland. We also have field tent/van pitches in our fields, offering wonderful views of the natural landscape. Facilities onsite include:
Toilets & showers at main farmhouse.
Kitchen & bathroom sinks.
Water taps (filtered mountain spring water).
Fire hire, BBQ hire and bike hire is available for an additional price.
Onsite we have a small shop selling camping essentials such as wood, charcoal, snacks/drinks, farm-fresh eggs & much more!

Within 5 minutes is the Mawddach estuary, whilst the charming market town of Dolgellau, the coastal village of Fairbourne and the delightful town of Barmouth are all walkable. Only a 30 minute walk down the Mawddach trail is a local pub, offering a great spot for some lovely food over a drink or two. Enjoy walking around Creggenan Lakes, a famous beauty spot that offers amazing views over the lakes and coast. Further afield you can visit lots of excellent attractions:
