Big Barn Camping and Glamping in Wales a small tranquil and beautiful eco-friendly campsite with just 11 pitches, 2 luxurious Glamping Domes and 3 Little Barn Eco Camping Pods. Situated near Laugharne in Carmarthenshire, on a 36-acre smallholding in glorious countryside on the Pembrokeshire boarder and not too away from major attractions or organized day trips, perfect for an idyllic break away and a great place for a Welsh holiday.
Guests choose our campsite and visit time and time again because it is small, safe and family-friendly, also for the quiet enjoyment of nature. It’s important that all guests feel relaxed and enjoy a good night’s sleep ready for exploring the fantastic coast and countryside so quiet time is from 10pm.
You just pay for the Pitches so there are no extra charges per person, or for awnings and gazebos. You have a picnic bench and fire pit on each pitch free of charge, so unlike other sites we won't add this all to your booking total. Fire wood can be purchased on site.
Glamping Domes -
Woodland camp situated in its own private area away from the main camping field, with its own kitchen covered area, shower and composting toilet, this is a popular choice for a getaway.
Vally view has its own composting toilet and covered kitchen area in in the field next to the camping pitches with stunning views across the Carmarthenshire countryside.
Eco Barn Pods -
The three little Pods come with a range of facilities. Fox Barn, has a double bed with both Hilltop and Cwtch Barn have fitted convertible tables that turn into a double bed.
All Domes ands pods have use of a sheltered kitchen area with a table and chairs and outside each is a picnic bench and firepit for campfires, all of the above come with a gas camping stove, cutlery, plates, glasses, pots and pans and a cool box.
The main facilities are located in the Big Barn. This large Dutch barn includes 3 hot showers, 3 wash basins, 2 washing up sinks a compost toilet and recycling facilities. Phone charging lock box's are available in the main barn area along with a Freezer and a further 2 eco friendly composting toilets are on the camping field.
We have a spacious camping field reserved for just eleven prized pitches each individually cut so you have your own designated area with plenty of room from your neighbours. Campervans or small retro teardrop caravans are permitted, allowing you to truly savour this stunning countryside location. Amplified music is not permitted at any time.
We are the perfect base for exploring a range of wonderful attractions. Pendine Sands beach is just 10 minutes’ drive away while Oakwood Theme Park near Narbeth is around half an hour away. Under 10 minutes' drive away is the coastal town of Laugharne, famed as the final home of Dylan Thomas and the recent popular BBC drama Keeping Faith. We are also on the national cycle route 4.
