Badger Barn Yurt Retreat offers exceptional glamping accommodation in the peaceful village of Hillersland near Coleford, perfectly positioned on the edge of the stunning Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire. The retreat features one spacious yurt and two beautifully furnished bell tents, providing a cosy and unique glamping experience for those looking to unwind in nature while still enjoying home comforts.
Surrounded by a thriving natural environment, the site is home to over 1,000 trees planted over the past two decades. Guests can also enjoy wandering through small meadows, an orchard, nut wood, and an organic vegetable garden. Each tent and yurt is thoughtfully positioned within its own private garden space, offering privacy, peace, and a true connection to the surrounding countryside, perfect for a relaxing Gloucestershire escape.
Peppermint Tent: Our beautifully furnished tent is in a peaceful spot on our site. It comes with a comfortable double bed, pillows, sheepskins, table, chairs and cooking facilities. Outside there is a private garden with double hedgerows, BBQ firepit and table and chairs.
Bedouin Tent: This spacious tent sleeps up to 5 people. It is stylishly decorated with muslin drapes. Facilities include a wood burning stove and soft electric lamps. There is a hand crafted double bed, double sofa bed and an extra foam mattress. You can relax and unwind on the sofas and there is a fully equipped kitchen. Separate dining table and chairs are provided.
The Cabin at Badger Barn: Our cabin has been beautifully handcrafted to offer relaxing accommodation in a great location. Great facilities include a proper double bed, cook facilities including an induction hob, electric kettle and tabletop, plus outside washing up facilities and a hot shower and flushing toilet just a couple of metres away.
The Forest of Dean can be accessed at the bottom of the track. There's plenty of outdoor fun to be had here, from walking and cycling. A number of great days out are nearby, including:
