Smytham Holiday Park is nestled in the peaceful parkland valley of the old manor house, which is still used as a family home. Boasting a selection of self-catering accommodation, consisting of pods and log cabins, traditional camping and caravanning pitches and privately owned holiday homes, Smytham has the perfect holiday for all the family.
Tents & Caravans
At Smytham Holiday Park we have three types of pitches which come in grass, all-weather and hardstanding. All our standard pitches have a 16amp electric hook-up and average 10m x 10m in size.
For extra comfort our premium pitches have 16amp electric hook ups and also have a TV aerial connection, drinking water, grey water disposal and a picnic bench. These pitches are large, measuring 15m x 12m.
The original walled garden is used as a camping area for small tents and cyclists or walkers. The pitches are sheltered, level and located close to the pool. We also have seasonal pitches.
Camping Pods
Our camping pods let you enjoy the fun and adventure of a camping holiday with a little extra comfort for your stay. Our family, dog friendly and escape pods are ideal for a short break to explore North Devon. The family pod sleeps up to 2 adults and 2 children. The dog pod sleeps 2 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs, and the escape pod sleeps up to 2 adults. All the pods are equipped with electric lighting, sockets, heating, a fridge, TV and kettle. Outside you’ll find a BBQ, a 4” covered deck, an outdoor deck, picnic bench and table and chairs. All you need to bring with you is your camping gear, but not the tent!
Hot Tub Log Cabins
Our log cabins Lavender and Heather come with private hot tubs on your raised decking which you can sit and luxuriate in. Situated in their own cul-de-sac, and ideally located for you to sit, relax and slow down, our lodges let you enjoy the peace of the North Devon countryside. Sleeping up to six people, Lavender and Heather are equipped with everything you need for your stay, from the kitchen featuring a dishwasher, oven, microwave, hob and coffee machine, to the master king-size ensuite bedroom. Lounge, dining area, double and twin bedrooms. For the littlest ones, a travel cot and highchair can be provided upon request (free of charge).
Our Park
We pride ourselves on being a family-friendly, family run park which provides the perfect base to explore all of what North Devon has to offer.
Situated near Great Torrington, you can visit Clovelly, RHS Garden Rosemoor, National Trust properties, adventure and farm parks along with our award-winning North Devon beaches. Family members of all ages and interests will find activities and days out to enjoy.
At Smytham, a day of fun on park is always an option too!
Our outdoor heated swimming pools are open May–September. Our games room featuring table top games and soft play is open daily. Grab a coffee at the coffee cabin. Hire a bike, children’s seat and pet trailers available and explore the Tarka Trail. Wander our woodland walks, follow our fairy trail or borrow a nature explorer pack. For the more competitive of you there is our natural mini golf, badminton and volleyball net and our ball and lawn games area in the valley.
In the evening sit back, look at the stars and enjoy a drink at Smythe’s bar, which has seasonal opening times.
Pets are welcomed at Smytham, we have our hot water dog wash, 3 acre dog exercise area and pet friendly accommodation.
