Macdonald's Farm is a family run glamping, touring park & campsite situated in one of the most stunning parts of Cornwall at Porthcothan. The farm is set in a quiet spot with views of the countryside, looking down a valley.
At Macdonald’s Farm, we take pride in providing stylish and modern amenities to ensure an unforgettable stay for our guests. We are one of only a few 5 star holiday parks in Cornwall and as such provide something very special here. Our holiday park is perfectly located on the Seven Bays – near Padstow and Newquay with some incredible beaches right on our doorstep. We even have a bus stop on site to take you up the down the coast in ease.
Whether you’re pitching a tent, parking your motorhome, or towing a caravan, we offer both electric and non-electric grass pitches. Set against the backdrop of a tranquil valley view, you’ll find the perfect spot to unwind and reconnect with nature.

For those seeking a touch of luxury beneath the stars, our brand-new Safari Lodges are the epitome of comfort. With VIP facilities and breath-taking views, it’s camping redefined for the modern traveler. There is a firepit for toasting marshmallows whilst gazing at the starry night sky. The lodges sleep up to 5 people and are based in the lower garden, away from the main campsite.
Or step into our two unique, boutique self-contained units and indulge in privacy and elegance. Each unit is thoughtfully designed to provide a cosy retreat amidst the serene surroundings. You can a stay in the Potting Barn. Based in the glamping area, the barn includes a mini kitchen, a wood burner, a deluxe king bed plus sofa, TV and breakfast bar. There is an ensuite bathroom and a private garden with a fire pit.In our paddock with have Mawgies, our secret cabin. The cabin features a TV, wood burner, deluxe king bed plus seating area, mini kitchen and en suite facilities. There is a hot tub, private garden and a fire pit to enjoy.
We have a beautiful onsite cafe, bar and our famous Smoke Shack offering delicious food from Farm breakfasts to BBQ nights and Farm feasts 6 nights a week plus enjoy live music, entertainment and meet our wonderful animals in the farm garden.
There is so much to see and do in the area. The nearest beach, at Porthcothan is only a 10 minute stroll away and you can bathe, surf or snorkel here. Other attractions nearby include:
