The site offers a variety of accommodation options, including a traditional yurt, a family camping paddock, a campervan pitch with electric hook-up and six secluded wild camping pitches set within a private valley. Guests can enjoy shared farm facilities with hot showers and flushing toilets, as well as solar showers and long-drop toilets in the wild camping valley. All camping pitches are thoughtfully spaced for privacy and include their own fire pit and picnic table, creating a comfortable and memorable camping experience in the Devon countryside.
Set within its own private garden, the yurt offers a spacious and comfortable retreat with everything needed for a relaxed stay. It is fully equipped with electricity, a fridge, a well-appointed kitchen and a cosy woodburner, making it suitable for all seasons. Sleeping arrangements include a double bed and a double futon, allowing the yurt to comfortably accommodate up to four guests. Outside, guests can enjoy a gas barbecue, a dedicated outdoor dining area, a fire pit and garden seating, perfect for evenings under the stars. Shared bathroom facilities with hot showers and toilets are conveniently located just a short walk away in the orchard.
Heathfield Escapes offers a range of camping options to suit different needs, including camping in a fenced private paddock close to the farm, which is ideal for guests with pets or young children, as well as a fenced field near the farm with three well-spaced pitches that work perfectly for families or groups of friends. There is also a campervan pitch with electric hook-up suitable for a T4-sized camper van, along with camping pitches of various sizes in the wild camping valley, all of which are secluded and some set within their own individual fields. Every pitch includes a fire pit and picnic table and is suitable for families or groups of between two and six people.
There is a range of shared facilities to ensure a comfortable stay, including hot showers, flushing toilets and a dedicated washing-up area. Guests also have access to a fridge freezer and electric charging points, while those staying in the wild camping valley can use the solar shower, washing-up area and traditional long-drop toilets. For added enjoyment, there is indoor table tennis for wet weather days, as well as an outdoor volleyball and badminton net set in the orchard for when the weather is fine.
This area is popular with walkers, cyclists and birdwatchers. The Slapton Ley Nature Reserve and coastline are all within easy reach. Within a 20 minute drive are the historic towns of Dartmouth, Kingsbridge and Totnes. There are many interesting attractions to visit such as Dartington Hall & Gardens, Dartmouth Steam Railway, Totnes Castle and Dartmouth Castle.
