The Nut Plat Retreat offers glamping accommodation in the picturesque hamlet of Roughway, near Tonbridge in the heart of Kent. Set in a tranquil countryside location, our retreat provides the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Surrounded by natural beauty, it is an ideal destination for nature lovers seeking a peaceful and memorable getaway.
You can choose from our two bijou and boutique living vans or Finlay’s Cabin. Each glamping option is set in its our private space, offering a private kitchen, bathroom facilities, fire pit and a barbeque area.
Ransoms
This shepherds hut sleeps 2 people and is perfect for a romantic getaway. The hut comes with cooking facilities/gas hob, a private bathroom with gas power shower, towels and quality bed linen. A wood burning stove is great for the winter months and outside there is a wood fire hot tub to soak your troubles away in. A Webber BBQ is great for al fresco dining.
Bomford
This hut is similar to Ransoms and ideal for a tranquil country retreat. A wood burning stove is great for those chilly days and outside there is a wood fired hot tub, perfect for unwinding in. A Webber BBQ is great for al fresco dining. The hut comes with cooking facilities/gas hob, a private bathroom with gas power shower, towels and quality bed linen.
Finlay’s Cabin
This unique cabin sleeps 2 and a sofa bed is also available. Facilities included electricity, cooking facilities/gas hob, bed linen, towels, a private bathroom, en suite bathroom/toilet and a wood burning stove. Outside there is a hot tub to soak yourself whilst admiring the setting.
Visiting the Area
We are in an ideal position for exploring the area. The Kentish Rifleman is nearby and serves food and drinks. A 45 minute walk will take you to the Swan on the Green which also serves delicious food. Attractions to visit include:

Ightham Mote.
Yotes Court Vineyard.
