Clavertye Shepherds Huts in Elham near Canterbury offers accommodation in 2 fabulous shepherd huts and 3 magical bell tents in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Situated on a family farm in Kent, we are ideal for an idyllic countryside experience.
Our 2 shepherd huts have been tastefully designed by The Shepherds Hut Company. The Woodland Shepherds Hut is set in a sunny glade with mature oak trees. The hut sleeps 2 adults and 2 young children. The Valley Shepherds Hut is set in beautiful grassland and sleeps up to 2 people and a child. Please provide your own cot.
Facilities include bespoke kitchenettes for cooking. This includes a gas hob, fridge and a cooker with grill. The fridge and LED lights are run by solar power. The huts have a composting toilet and good size en suite shower. Both huts have hot running water. You can stay warm and cosy with our wood burner. Logs are provided.

We also have three stunning bell tents to stay in. Woodland Lotus Stargazer and Touareg tents are nestled in a scenic woodland in a secluded sunny glade. Both tents can be booked together, great for 2 families. The tents each come with comfy double beds and a futon bed, whilst extra camp beds are also available. LED Solar fairy lights create a magical and relaxing atmosphere. The composting loo is for sole use of your party/group. The hob or firepit is great for cooking and outdoor seating for 8 people is great for al fresco dining when the sun is shining.
Valley Lotus Stargazer tent is set on delightful, raised decking on the side of Clavertye Wood, a gorgeous 23-acre wild valley field. The tent sleeps 4 in a double bed and futon bed. 2 extra campbeds for children can also be added. Outside there is a camp kitchen and picnic table, a great spot for coffee in the morning sun. A composting loo and a fantastic vintage horse trailer with a hot gas shower is shared between the woodland tents and your tent.
We supply milk from the local dairy on arrival, plus teas, filer coffee, porridge oats and cornflakes. You can also order breakfast and BBQ packs while staying with us.
The whole family can enjoy a memorable goat walk experience whilst staying with us. Explore the farm with Mustard and Custard, our resident goats. You can walk through our glorious wild valley whilst getting to know our super friendly goats who love cuddles and strokes. When we return to the field you can also feed them a range of nibbles.
