Compton Farm on the Isle of Wight is the ideal location for a family holiday or short break. The farm has been farmed by the present family for many years. Sheltered in a downland valley on National Trust land (which has Sites of Special Scientific Interest status) guests can take a variety of walks over the Downs, to enjoy stunning views and the wonderful wildflowers such as the pyramid orchid. The site is located just outside of Brook and is just a short drive to Newport.
In a fold facing the Downs, we have a site for our twelve well-equipped caravans. Each is fitted with a full-size cooker and fridge, shower and toilet. There is plenty of space for car parking nearby and a large field for games.
Situated in a well-drained field with facilities which include a toilet block with showers.
Our site is peaceful and quiet and not commercialised at all. It is very much a traditional campsite with many of guests who visited as children themselves, bringing back their own families. Children can have good old-fashioned fun, with old tractors to play on, ducks to feed, eggs to collect, and space and freedom to fly their kites, and ride their bikes around the farm. The unspoilt sandy beach is safe for children and swimming and south-facing, it catches all of the sun. Dinosaur fossil footprints are even visible at low tide!
Bring your surf and body boards, for some excellent surfing on nearby beaches! For the golfers amongst you enjoy your round, whilst taking in some of the most spectacular views you will ever see on any links! Hand-gliding, paragliding, windsurfing, and horse riding are also available nearby.
