Loch Ness Bay Camping is a family run campsite which is a scenic 15-minute walk away from Loch Ness. The campsite is situated off the A82 with a well-maintained driveway making it an easily accessible campsite.
Our 12-acre site offers 46 hard-standing pitches, 40 of these pitches are equipped with electric hook-ups, drinking water taps and lighting for your convenience. Additionally, a spacious 4-acre area for tents provides plenty of room, complemented by modern shower and toilet facilities, making this an ideal camping spot in the Highlands.
We offer generously sized pitches with or without electric hook-ups, along with waste water disposal points. On-site amenities include a coin-operated laundry, free WiFi and two outdoor dishwashing sinks. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, but please note that as a working farm and livery, there are sheep and horses in the surrounding fields. The pitches are arranged in a horseshoe shape, surrounding a spacious grassy central area. Roof tents are advised to book hard-standing pitches and children under the age of 5 stay free of charge.
There are lots of great restaurants and pubs within walking distance - the closest being a 5-minute walk away - which will suit most appetites and give you a taste of Scotland's Larder. There is a selection of menus in the reception to have a look through to make the decision a bit easier. Local shops are only half a mile away. The village shop is open from 06:30 - 22:00hrs daily with a cash point. We have a local garage, a post office and a range of boutique shops in the centre of Drumnadrochit. Urquhart Castle and the famous Loch Ness Exhibition Centre are approx. 20 minutes walk from the campsite.
Some of the most amazing scenery in Scotland is located in the area with much to see and do. Many roads and tracks lead deep into the surrounding hills and glens where you are sure to spot buzzards, heron, roe deer, red squirrels and other wildlife for those that are looking for peace and beauty. Another activity that guests enjoy is monster spotting, but we cannot guarantee a sighting!
BBQs off the ground are welcome, no fire pits.
