Angus’s first eco campsite blends conservation with all the right facilities close to hand. Spacious camping pitches, each with their own firepit, nestle amongst wildflower meadows. Luxurious glamping pods offer an alternative for new campers, families with young kids or couples who fancy a treat. Separate spaces for groups, families and couples ensure everyone enjoys the stay they want.
Camping pitches on the car-free site can be booked singly or together, larger groups are accommodated in the Home Paddock. Jazzy wheelbarrow are provided to help you get gear to your pitch. Grown-ups pitches, tucked away in the North Paddock offer a tranquil retreat.
Our three wooden Hobbit Houses come with king size and bunk beds, a fully equipped kitchenette, log burning stove and private deck with fire bowl. They provide the ultimate relaxing break, where you need bring minimum kit to enjoy spectacular views across the meadows to the Angus Glens.
Extensive communal facilities ensure you have everything you need. In the West End social space, the Field Kitchen provides indoor cooking and eating, a shared fridge and freezer and log burning stove with the washing up area in an adjacent lean to. Communal BBQs are provided for guest use and on Saturdays wood fired pizza is served up by owners Kate and Stig. Kids can enjoy drawing and colouring in the Art Shack whilst their grown-ups chat around the firepit.
Wildlife adventures are on hand everywhere on site, pond dipping and minibeast hunts are a must. Time spent in the Den Zone gives kids precious time to play away from screens and creates magical family memories.
The on-site Tack Store shop is open on demand selling camping essentials, BBQ packs and ice creams. On Sunday morning it serves up breakfast rolls and proper coffee if you don’t fancy cooking.
Greenhillock’s conservation mission means composting loos and solar showers are provided. The loos are easy to use and cleaned regularly. Clever tech ensures a regular supply of hot water for showers. There is no electric hook up or wifi, phone charging is available in the Field Kitchen.
