Brook Cottage Camping is a peaceful and intimate spot set on a working farm amid the rolling drumlins of County Down. Just a 10-minute drive from Drumkeeragh Forest and around 30 minutes from Belfast, the site offers a quiet rural escape without being far from Northern Ireland’s main attractions. The nearby town of Ballynahinch is only 15 minutes away, with plenty of shops and dining options for all your essentials and meals out.
This small, family-friendly pop-up campsite features portable toilets and a designated washing-up area. Tucked away off a minor road, it benefits from very little traffic noise, allowing guests to enjoy the tranquillity of the countryside while still being well-placed for exploring the region.
Anglers will find several lakes within a 15-minute drive, ideal for a quiet day of fishing. For those who enjoy hiking, a scenic 20-minute drive through Dromara and Finnis leads to Slieve Croob, the source of the River Lagan, where panoramic views reward the effort of the climb. If you’re looking for indoor entertainment afterward, Lisburn is just 25 minutes away and offers a swimming pool with water slides, a cinema and a bowling alley, perfect for families or rainy-day adventures.
