Harebeck Holidays, situated in the village of Gosforth in the Western Lake District, offers a peaceful getaway on a traditional working farm. The property boasts stunning views of the Wasdale Fells, including the iconic peaks of Scafell Pike and Great Gable, providing a perfect base for exploring the natural beauty of the region.
The Sheep Fold
The Sheep Fold sleeps 2 people and is a contemporary take on a traditional shepherd's hut, featuring underfloor heating and a sheltered outdoor seating area with a table for alfresco dining. Inside, you'll find a comfortable double sofa bed, a compact kitchen equipped with a mini oven, toaster, kettle, sandwich maker, slow cooker and mini fridge, perfect for preparing meals or keeping drinks cool after a day of exploring. The furnishings include a fold-out table with chairs and bedside drawers, while wildlife and bird guides, along with binoculars, are provided for observing the local fauna in the surrounding fields. A small to medium-sized dog can also be pre-booked to join your stay.
Owl Hoot
Owl Hoot also sleeps 2 and is named after the barn owls that glide over the fields at dusk, it is a heated pod offering cosy and practical accommodation. Inside, it features a double sofa bed, a small table with fold-up chairs, and a kitchen area equipped with a kettle, toaster, toasted sandwich maker, slow cooker and mini fridge, perfect for keeping drinks chilled on warmer days. A shelving unit holds crockery, utensils and a selection of games for evening entertainment. Outside, a sheltered decking area with a table and chairs provides stunning views of Scafell and the surrounding fells, ideal for enjoying a relaxing glass of wine. A small to medium-sized dog can also be pre-booked to join your stay.
Romany Retreats
The Romany Retreat features two beautifully decorated Bowtop Caravans, Kezia and Rosella, each with private seating areas offering stunning views of the Wasdale and Eskdale fells. They can be booked together or separately, and this is the only campsite area where open campfires are permitted. Each Bowtop includes electricity, lighting, a heater, a kettle, a toaster and a mini fridge, with bedding and towels for the double bed provided. A small cupboard bed beneath is suitable for two small children (bedding not supplied). Extra storage is available in a watertight trunk, with a shared fridge and freezer located in the drying room. Guests receive a starter bag of firewood, with additional wood available for purchase. Kezia, the more spacious caravan, is ideal for taller guests, while Rosella features a charming cow-print ceiling and a small pull-out table. Dogs are not allowed in the caravans, but outdoor runs may be available in the future.

Motorhome Pitches
We also have five pitches available for motorhomes or campervans, these are serviced pitches. The pitches vary in size, one is suitable for a large motorhome, two for standard motorhomes and 2 for campervans.

There is plenty to see and do in the area, you can hire paddle boards nearby, walk the Eskdale Valley, go pony trekking or visit West Lakes Adventure. Other places to visit include:
