Surrounded by beautiful countryside and steeped in history, the site offers an ideal base for walkers, nature lovers and anyone seeking a relaxing rural getaway. Its tranquil setting makes it perfect for unwinding while exploring one of the most striking and culturally rich areas in northern England.

We offer hardstanding and grass pitches on several levels, whilst our glamping units offer stunning views. We also have the bunk barn to stay in for a bit of comfort.

You can also choose to stay in our bell tent which comes with a double bed and 2 single futons, great for a family or romantic getaway. You can also hire our mobile kitchen if you fancy al fresco dining. Outside there is a firepit with a grill, camping chairs and a table for al fresco dining.

For a touch of luxury, you can stay in one of our shepherd huts, including 1 at the bottom of our site and 3 in our top meadow. The huts come with a toasty wood burner for the winter months, a little kitchen, foldaway table and chairs, cosy double and a small sofa bed. Outside there is a fire pit/BBQ for al fresco dining, plus camping table and chairs, great for a glass of wine whilst savouring the breathtaking setting.

The site is located less than half a mile from the most dramatic stretch of Hadrians Wall between Newcastle and Carlisle and is ideally placed for visiting many of the Roman sites.
