Castle Howard Lakeside Holiday Park offers pitches for campers and tourers in Coneysthorpe, set in a beautiful countryside setting. Only a mile away is the house and grounds of Castle Howard Estate. We are in the ideal location for exploring the North York Moors National Park, the Howardian Hills and a range of attractions in North Yorkshire.
We are situated in a scenic location, a haven for nature lovers looking to escape the pressures of modern life. You can wander around the footpaths & savour the grounds of the estate.
Our park offers a specific area for tents and hard standings for motorhomes and caravans. All the pitches are level and offer plenty of space, great for a relaxing and peaceful break. Surrounding the site there are mature trees to complete the tranquil atmosphere. Our grass pitches have a choice of electric and non-electric, whilst our hard standing pitches come with electric hook up.
Facilities include a heated shower & toilet block with hot water, hairdryers, washing machines & tumble dryer.
Conveniently located in the holiday park reception, our shop offers a range of essentials, including fresh bread, eggs, milk and premium meats from the Castle Howard Butchery. It is licensed to sell a selection of wines, beers and our signature Castle Howard Gin, along with a small collection of cocktails. Open daily from 9am to 5pm during spring, summer and autumn, the shop’s winter hours will align with reception opening times, ensuring year-round convenience for our guests.
You can visit one of the most renowned estates in Europe, Castle Howard. This house boasts a gorgeous garden, peaceful lakes, atmospheric woodland, vast parkland, monuments, temples, an adventure playground and cafes. Only a short distance away is the historic city of York, home to plenty of attractions, restaurants, shops and the City Walls. Attractions to visit include:
