Daisy Roundhouse Yurt
This yurt is set in a commanding position with views across wildflower meadows and a freshwater lake. It is fully insulated with eco-friendly materials and fitted with double-glazed tilt-and-turn windows. Guests have their own composting eco toilet in the ‘Throne Room’ and mains electricity as a backup to the off-grid ethos. Inside, there is a unique bespoke king-size bed with quality bedding, a log-burning stove with fire irons, a bucket of logs and firelighters, a cordless kettle, four plug sockets with USB ports and solar-powered lighting and fairy lights connected to an array of 32 solar panels. For dining, guests can enjoy the use of a communal kitchen with gas hobs, fridge, microwave and full cooking utensils, along with freshly ground coffee, hot chocolate, assorted teas and flatware exclusive to Rose Hollow guests. Bluebell Lodge
Set in a tranquil woodland area overlooking the lake, this traditional solid timber log cabin is fully insulated with double-glazed windows and doors, making it ideal for year-round living. The cabin is furnished with a king-size bed complete with duvet, pillows and bed linen, a log-burning stove with seating, a single-ring gas burner and kettle, and solar-powered lighting, including fairy lights and a lamp. Guests also have access to a communal kitchen with gas hobs, fridge and microwave, as well as their own private composting toilet and additional shared shower and toilet facilities. Outside, a covered decking area with a double rocking chair provides the perfect place to relax and guests are welcome to enjoy The Roost as well.

Visiting the Area
Just a short walk away, the village pub offers a hearty menu. The local area of Melbourne and its surroundings is often overlooked by visitors heading to York or the Yorkshire Dales, but it has plenty to offer. The Melbourne lock and Pocklington Canal are close by, the Yorkshire Wolds are ideal for cycling, walking and adventure, and Pool Bridge Farm and Allerthorpe Lakeside Park provide excellent opportunities for open-water swimming. The east coast is also within easy reach, with Bridlington, Bempton Cliffs, Filey and Scarborough just a 40-minute drive away.
