The Hammers & Pincers Caravan and Camping Site in Newton is nestled in a gorgeous rural setting, perfect for a relaxing country escape. Our campsite in Durham in next to a traditional pub and just 3 miles from the A1 north/south.
Our small family-run site is perfect for an unforgettable holiday in a wonderful location. We are licensed for 20 caravans and 10 tents. In total, we have 20 hard-standing pitches, including 12 with electric hook up, plus 10 camping pitches with 4 electric hook ups. Water and grey waste facilities are also available.
Facilities include 1 gents toilet block with 2 toilets, 1 shower and a baby change unit and 1 ladies toilet block with 3 toilets and 2 showers.
You can enjoy some delicious food at the traditional country pub next door to us which serves delicious food and real ales. In Newton Aycliffe you can bowl at Planet Leisure or play a round at Woodham Golf and Country Club. Children can have endless fun at the Ruff ‘n’ Tumble Adventure World. Attractions to visit further afield in Durham include:
