Mill Hill Farm Caravan & Camping Park is at Darsham near Saxmundham and is set within 30 acres of stunning Suffolk countryside. Our park provides a place where you can rest and relax, away from the hustle and bustle of modern-day living.
Everyone is welcome at Mill Hill Farm, so whether you are a couple, family or one person and their dog, we look forward to welcoming you. We pride ourselves on offering an award-winning, family-run site that is conveniently placed for a break of any length.
We want to ensure that everyone enjoys their stay with us. Access the site through the entry barriers, report to reception where you will be met by our friendly, helpful staff and collect your keycard to use during your stay. A member of the team will show you to your pitch and ensure you are provided with all the information you need about the park.
We have 50 spacious pitches available for touring caravans, motorhomes and tents spread across two fields. Hedges and trees have been planted to maintain the feeling of privacy. Please advise when booking if you would like a grass or hardstanding pitch and if electric hook up is required. All pitches are close to freshwater taps. Each pitch allows plenty of personal space where you can sit back, relax and enjoy the views. There is no extra charge for awnings or gazebo's providing that they are fully contained within your pitch.
Six camping pods sit beside Kingfisher Lake, offering peaceful lakeside views and easy access for fishing and wildlife watching, with each pod featuring its own gated decking area, although the proximity to open water may not suit younger children. The pods sleep up to four with a double bed and a sofa bed and include a shower room, TV, dining space, underfloor heating and a compact kitchen with essential appliances and utensils, while guests should bring their own bedding. Outside, each pod has a firepit with starter logs and a barbecue, dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads and shared facilities include a token-operated washing machine and tumble dryer available from reception.
On-site we have two well-stocked fishing lakes, whether you're just starting out or a more seasoned angler looking for a challenge there's fish in there for you, just purchase a day or night fishing ticket from reception. In addition to this, you will also find a wildlife area with scrape and extensive dog walks. The site is adjacent to Suffolk Wildlife Trust Darsham Marshes Nature Reserve and we have worked with our neighbours to create new permissive paths to link up with established public footpaths allowing you to explore the countryside away from main roads.
There are plenty of places of interest locally, including:
RSPB Minsmere.
Dunwich Heath.
Southwold with its iconic pier, beach huts and lighthouse.
Aldeburgh.
Most places are very dog friendly with plenty of places to walk, shop and eat accompanied by your faithful hound.
So whether you enjoy walking, bird and wildlife watching, cycling, fishing or just sitting down with a good book in the peace and quiet, we are the ideal place to stay.
