Set on a picturesque working farm in Great Ellingham, South Norfolk, Glamp & Tipple offers a unique and luxurious rural retreat. While located next to a B road that accommodates farm and local traffic, this ensures convenient access to some of Norfolk’s top attractions, including Banham Zoo, Thetford Forest/High Lodge, the historic City of Norwich and the stunning Norfolk Broads, all within a 30-minute drive.
Our site is designed to introduce guests to the joys of glamping, combining comfort, privacy and natural beauty. Each fully heated and insulated yurt offers year-round cosiness and includes a private wood-fired hot tub just steps from the door. Guests also enjoy a private heated bathroom with flushing toilets and hot showers, located a short walk away. Inside the yurts, you’ll find thoughtful touches such as a king-size bed, futon sofa beds or floor mattresses (depending on the yurt), a log burner with an oven, a Smart TV, WiFi and a full-size fridge with a freezer compartment. The kitchen area is well-equipped with utensils, crockery and even a welcome pack featuring tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and marshmallows. Comfort is enhanced with fluffy towels, adult robes, cosy throws, cushions, a galaxy projector and a Bluetooth speaker. A starter supply of heat logs, kindling, firelighters, and matches is provided, with additional supplies available on-site.
Outside, the amenities continue with a covered outdoor kitchen, a gas camping stove, a large BBQ and a Kadai fire pit with bench seating and accessories for roasting marshmallows or preparing meals. Guests also have access to a picnic table, a large casserole pot for cooking, water containers and waste bins for convenience. Whether relaxing in the hot tub, enjoying a meal under the stars, or exploring the nearby countryside, our glamping experience provides the perfect combination of rustic charm and modern luxury.
The shared facilities at the site are designed to ensure comfort and convenience for all guests. A spacious 12m x 6m covered communal area with seating provides a perfect spot to relax and socialise. Guests can take advantage of "The Larder," an on-site honesty shop and the Rookery Meadows Farm Shop for local produce. The Honesty Coffee Corner offers a cosy place to enjoy a hot drink, while the kitchen, wash-up area and laundry room are equipped with a washing machine, dryer, microwave, kettle and toaster for added convenience. For entertainment, a selection of DVDs is available and free parking is provided for all guests.
Activities on-site cater to both children and adults, with plenty to keep everyone entertained. The children’s play area, affectionately known as Bob’s Park, is a hit with younger visitors. Guests can enjoy table tennis, table football and a variety of giant outdoor games such as croquet, quoits, kubb, dominoes, skittles, Jenga and boules, all free to use. A badminton/volleyball net and a dartboard are also available at no extra cost. For those looking for additional fun, a pool table operates with contactless payment by card or phone, making it easy to enjoy. These activities ensure a lively and engaging stay for all ages.
