At Tartan Tourers, our motorhome rentals come fully equipped to make your journey as comfortable and convenient as possible. We are ideally located for exploring the world-famous North Coast 500, a spectacular 500-mile route around the northern coast of Scotland. Based in Forres, Moray, our family-run business is close to major transport links between Inverness and Aberdeen, and we can even arrange collection from Inverness Airport. Perfectly positioned near the official start of the NC500 in Inverness, we provide an excellent base for your adventure.
Our location also places you in the heart of Speyside’s whisky country, with Dallas Dhu Historic Distillery and Benromach Distillery right on our doorstep. Golf enthusiasts are spoilt for choice too, with courses stretching from Garmouth in Moray to Brora in Sutherland and even further north to Durness, many of which hold championship status. In addition to the NC500, we are also close to the North East 250, another scenic driving route.
With so much to see and do in the North of Scotland, hiring one of our motorhomes is the perfect way to experience it all. For the 2025 season, we have five motorhomes available for hire, across two different models, each fitted with automatic gearboxes, satellite navigation, and all the essentials you might need, including kitchenware, an outdoor table and chairs and optional bike carriers.
The Mini Mac is a compact option designed for two, featuring a convenient drop-down bed accessible by a small ladder. The Macleod and Ross models both sleep up to four, with a fixed double bed at the rear and a second double that lowers from the ceiling above the dining area, providing comfort and flexibility for families or groups of friends.
