The Dinas Castle Inn is perfect for a memorable getaway in Talgarth, based in a scenic countryside setting. Nestled right in the heart of the Black Mountains, we boast amazing views of the surrounding hills. Further afield you can visit lots of brilliant attractions in Powys.
We are perfect for the ultimate country escape, set in idyllic countryside. In the evening, you can gaze at the starry night sky, whilst the glorious ruins of Castell Dinas, the highest ruined castle in England and Wales, is just above us.
Our lovely campsite has 20 pitches available. Please note, there do not come with an electric hook up. For those that fancy an alternative to the traditional camping experience, you can stay in our cosy shepherds hut. Bunkhouse accommodation is available for up to 28 people.

You can enjoy a drink or two at the bar in front the roaring log fire. There’s also a pool table and a selection of board games available. The inn also offers a range of fabulous home-cooked food to tantalise your taste buds, including succulent steaks.
We are near the local towns of Crickhowell and Talgarth, with Hay-on-Wye, Brecon and Abergavenny also nearby. The area has lots of stunning walking and cycling routes to enjoy, whilst horse riding, climbing, canoeing and Kayaking can also be enjoyed. Great attractions to visit include:
National Trust - Powis Castle and Garden.
National Showcaves Centre for Wales.
