Racquety Farm is an organic haven certified by the Soil Association, featuring a blend of arable land, pastures, orchards and woodlands. Located just a short stroll from the heart of Hay-on-Wye yet immersed in the countryside, the farm offers direct access to scenic trails like the Wye Valley Walk and Offa's Dyke Path, with stunning views of the surrounding farmlands, woodlands, and mountains. Our riverbank is recognised as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
In the summer, we welcome tents and small camper vans, such as VW campers or similar-sized vehicles. During autumn and winter, we offer limited camping subject to ground conditions but typically can accommodate camper vans in the Larchwood Studio parking area. This area provides easy access to our shower facilities, mains water and basic washing up amenities.
Please note, we do not accommodate caravans or motorhomes.
Walk-in campers or those cycling to us can choose between a quaint orchard spot or our main campsite, both offering peaceful retreats a mere 5-10 minute walk from Hay town centre.
Our facilities include hot showers, washing up spaces, fire pits upon request and two compost toilets, all maintained to high standards. We provide eco-friendly soaps and shampoos in the showers, washing up liquid at the stations and ensure daily waste and recycling collection.
