Set on the edge of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park atop vast moorland, our five cosy Shepherd’s Huts at Barlwyd Glamping are designed for modern nomads seeking a wildly romantic adventure. Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, nature lovers and wild swimmers, these charming hideaways offer a remote escape in nature.
Unplug, unwind and soak in the breathtaking views of the quarry and mountain peaks. Start your mornings with lazy coffee-filled lie-ins beneath a king-size duvet, or head straight from your doorstep for a scenic hike. Afterward, relax in the wilderness sauna or curl up by the log burner for a cosy evening.
Experience off-grid living with comfort. Each hut has limited electricity for lights and hot water, with no mains supply. While there's no Wi-Fi, phone service is available, and battery packs are provided to charge your devices. Every hut also features a wood-burning stove to keep you warm year-round.
The huts come with fully equipped kitchens and an outdoor gas barbecue. Guests are welcomed with complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits. Due to the limited water supply, each hut offers two 10-minute hot showers daily, with toiletries, towels and linens provided.
Guests can explore Barlwyd using a complimentary electric buggy and have exclusive access to the sauna with stunning views. Cosy Cape Cove robes are provided for extra comfort.
You’re welcome to bring one dog per hut, but they must stay on a lead due to sheep grazing on the land.

Eryri (Snowdonia) offers dramatic mountain peaks, adventure-filled heritage sites and long coastal paths to explore. Swim in mountain lakes, paddleboard, or kayak on the rivers. After a day of fresh mountain air and exploring fifteen peaks and nine mountain ranges, return to your snug hut for a relaxing sauna session. Beyond the trails, discover charming villages, ancient castles, cosy pubs and some of the UK's most beautiful beaches.
