Heritage Coast Campsite is nestled within the beautiful Vale of Glamorga, outside of Monkash and just a short drive from the Welsh coastline. We have pitches for tents and camper vans and now offer boutique B&B/glamping accommodation in one of our lovely bell tents.
Our 5 metre bell tents are beautifully appointed with quality fabrics, carpeting, rugs, cushions, furniture and equipment. Sleep peacefully in a comfortable double bed, with quality cotton bedding and warm duvets. Extra blankets are stored in the ottoman inside the tent. Pop your holiday reading book on the bedside table and sit comfortably at the dining tables and chairs – inside and outside your tent. Pretty scatter cushions, interior lighting and fitted floors ensure you are cosy and comfortable. Essentials include tea, coffee, condiments, crockery, cutlery, pans and of course a kettle. Our bedding is professionally laundered to ensure our linens are always crisp and clean. We also provide bath towels. What better way to go on holiday than receiving room service in a field - we will hand deliver your logs, provide maps, leaflets and tourist information - as well as breakfast in a morning.
Pitch your tent on our level, soft grass paddocks. There’s space for a car included in your pitch area – so you’ll have everything on hand for an easy set up. The site is also licenced for tents and camper vans. Your pitch size will accommodate the camper van and a tent to the side if required.
Onsite we have Teddy's Licensed Espresso Bar & Kitchen. Open daily from 8am for home cooked breakfast, freshly brewed coffee, tea, hot chocolate and juices. Light meals are available throughout the day including a range of panini, sandwiches and baked potatoes with an assortment of fillings. We always have delicious cake, biscuits and snacks and stock a full range of chilled non-alcoholic drinks and waters. Complete the seaside holiday feeling with a delicious ice cream – sold in our shop. Fully licensed, Teddy’s bar also offers wide range of quality wines, beers and ciders all at reasonable prices. South Wales has a fine range of local beers and ciders and these prove very popular with our guests.
To ensure that guests make the most of there stay, we have a tourist information available to ensure you have lots of information about what’s available to visit and do in our beautiful area. We also have two onsite Vale of Glamorgan ambassadors to offer personal insight and to help you plan anything from a quiet walk to an adventure packed day out. Alternately why not join in with one of our arts and crafts days on the campsite, where a local artist come in to give demonstrations and workshops!
There is so much on offer in the local area. Activities include walking, cycling and mountain biking, surfing (including board hire), climbing centres, or tree top adventuring. Visitor attractions within easy reach include sites of historic interest from throughout the ages, churches, castles, a lighthouse, beaches, play facilities both in and outdoor and some beautiful parks, nature reserves and gardens. For a little retail therapy, there is plentiful shopping in both the smaller towns like Cowbridge, the cities of Cardiff and Swansea and at the McArthur Glenn designer outlet nearby.
