Burnbake near Wareham is a 12 acre partially wooded campsite situated between Corfe Castle and Studland on the Isle of Purbeck. Its superb location is ideal for exploring Dorset’s Jurassic Coast.
This campsite also has 22 luxury forest lodges which can sleep between 4 and 6 people. Each lodge comes with a wood burning stove and a hot tub. We also have a selection that our now dog friendly.

The facilities at Burnbake Campsite are excellent, being regularly checked, cleaned and well maintained, we have two purpose built centrally located buildings.
The original main building has both gents and ladies’ facilities containing; loos, hot showers and washing sinks with mirrors. We have two unisex toilets with baby change facilities in them they have one hairdryer in each.
We have a separate laundry room with coin-operated washing machine and tumble dryer.
Both buildings have washing up sinks and behind the shop, there is a chemical loo disposal point. There are two large fields adjoin the site for group games. We have a cafe on site open morning and evening for breakfasts, hot and cold drinks and evening meals. The cafe is not run by the campsite but separately operated and is open most weekends throughout the season and every day during the school holidays.
The well-stocked shop opens twice a day. Milk, bread, and cakes arrive daily in time for breakfast alcohol. Calor gas, charcoal, cooking, and camping equipment are also available. We also allow campfires in a container of the ground, and they are available to hire in the shop.
10 electric hook-up points have been installed on site and they are on a first come first served basis, with an additional charge of £7.00 per night. Campervans are welcome too.
We also have two safari tents available. Serving as a ‘home away from home,’ they can accommodate up to 4 or 6 guests and come fully equipped with all your home comforts, along with thoughtful little luxuries to enhance your camping experience. Each tent is equipped with comfy beds with mattress protectors, provided bed linen (guests need to bring their own towels), a relaxing sofa with blankets and cushions, a sociable dining table with chairs, and a kitchen space stocked with crockery, cutlery, and cooking equipment. Additionally, there is a fridge with a small freezer compartment, one electric hob, toaster, sink, and stove kettle. The tents offer cold drinking water from the kitchen tap but no hot water. They also feature interior lighting and electrical plug sockets, external seating on a decked porch, a firepit, and close access to shower pods and private portaloos.
We love dogs at Burnbake, they are of course free, but must be on a lead at all times and obviously cleaned up after.
Studland has three miles of sandy beach and excellent safe bathing, sailing and windsurfing. The seaside resort of Swanage also has good swimming, tennis, putting, bowls and other leisure activities. The campsite has direct access to bridleways for walking, running or biking.
We also have a 7-acre field attached to the main campsite. This field is available for hire, in part or as one area for events, scout camps, large group camps etc. Telephone for additional details and charges.

Rates: £21.00 for a basic pitch 1 adults, 1 car & tent up to 5 men tent each additional adult is £7.00, children £5.00, under 3s and dogs go free!
