Loose Reins in Shillingstone offers stunning glamping accommodation in a range of luxurious lodges and cabins. Our glamping accommodation in Dorset is surrounded by spectacular countryside in a peaceful setting, perfect for an unforgettable break away.
We have 3 charming cabins to choose from: Ranchers, Trappers and Gold Panners. Each cabin has an outdoor area, perfect for watching deer in the woods and buzzards up high. The cabins each come with an authentic feel and wood panelled finish. You will find faux furs and fleeces in Trappers, Victorian light shades in Ranchers and golden Navajo wood in Goldpanners. The fully equipped kitchen comes with a wood burner, fridge, four ring gas hob and oven. We will also supply you with a basket of essentials: local bread, milk and Dorset biscuits for your arrival. Each cabin comes with a king size bed, Hypnos mattress, wool topper and Egyptian cotton sheets. The dining area has fold down seats to sleep an extra two people. The modern bathroom comes with a basin, full sized shower and flushing look. Outside each cabin is a delightful porch area with custom made rocking chairs. We also provide a BBQ and fire pit, ideal for a spot of al fresco dining. Each of our glamping cabins is equipped with its own private eco-tub.
We have 2 beautiful Pioneer Lodges to choose from. Each lodge sleeps up to 6 people and comes with a decking area. The perfect place for sipping a glass of wine under the stars at night. All the lodges come with wooden room dividing walls and plank floors. They come with spacious and beautifully styled living areas with a sofa, armchairs and wood burner. The kitchen/dining area is fully equipped with a range of appliances to suit all your needs. We provide locally made bread, milk and Dorset biscuits for your arrival. The luxurious bedrooms come with high quality mattresses, cotton sheet and woollen blankets. Bedrooms consist of a king size four poster bed, twin room and king sized cabin bed. The contemporary bathroom comes with a double sized rain shower, basin, flushing loo and soft towels. Outside the decking area comes with comfy seating, perfect for admiring the superb view from. A BBQ and firepit are also available.
Our newest addition is the Rustic Retreat Lodge. This features rustic chic decor, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. Inside, enjoy comfort and style with a fully equipped kitchen, spacious fridge/freezer and top-notch cooking facilities. The King-Sized master bedroom, perfect for families, offers serene field views and space for a travel cot. The adjacent room has cosy bunk beds and a secret children’s den with heart-shaped doors from our old Pioneer Lodge. The upgraded bathroom includes a heated towel rail, high-pressure showers, and eco-friendly toiletries from “Wild England.” The spacious lounge, with glass bi-fold doors, offers breathtaking views whether you’re by the wood burner or dining. The lodge’s wavy-edged larch cladding blends with the woodlands, and a wood-fired eco-tub is perfect for late-night star-gazing soaks, making your stay truly unforgettable.
