Birchwood Tourist Park is a camping and caravanning site that is in an ideal position for exploring Dorset. Centrally located for visiting Bournemouth, Poole and The Purbecks. We are a family run Park centrally located within Wareham Forest. Open all year including over Christmas and New Year. We have a variety of pitches (grass, block-paved hardstanding or gravel), two toilet & shower blocks, shop, security barrier system, large separate games field, play area, a 2 foot deep paddling pool for the children & direct access into the forest for dog walks and general exploring.

Our facilities include:

• Secure access with a vehicle registration number plate recognition system linked to your booking.
• Fully serviced pitches with gravel or block-paved hardstanding and a gravel area for awnings. These include a 15/16 amp electrical hook-up, TV aerial point, water tap, and grey water drainage (using environmentally friendly chemicals).
• Electric hook-up points (10 amp supply) available on grass or gravel pitches.
• Non-electric grass pitches for tents.
• A well-stocked self-service shop offering general groceries, an off-licence, sweets, ice cream, soft drinks, toys, camping and caravanning supplies, Calor gas exchange, and take-away food options*.
• Ice pack exchange through Birchwood with a small charge and refundable deposit*.
• Free hot showers available in heated toilet/shower blocks (heated during winter).
• Convenient chemical toilet disposal points (CDP) located at both toilet blocks.
• Motorhome waste disposal points for ease of service.
• Dogs are welcome but must be kept on short leads, and owners are required to pick up after their pets and use the provided dog bins. Additional amenities include a dog wash station.
• Direct access to the forest, leading to the scenic Sika Trail.
• A launderette equipped with washers and tumble dryers (tokens available for purchase).
• Wash-up sinks provided both indoors and outdoors.
• Children's play area with a sandpit and an unsupervised paddling pool (2 feet deep, open late May to August).
• Recreational facilities, including a pool table and table tennis (equipment available for an additional charge).
• Large games field opposite the reception and shop for ball games, kite flying, football and netball, with designated posts.
• Free tennis, badminton and pitch-and-putt on grass (equipment available for hire or bring your own, weather permitting).
• WiFi access available in select areas of the park (extra charge for login code).
