Berry Barton is a family-run, rural caravan & camping park situated on a 350-acre working dairy farm, offering a fantastic countryside escape. With spacious pitches and a relaxed atmosphere, it's perfect for families. The campsite is ideally located in green fields above the coastal village of Branscombe, boasting fine countryside views and direct access to cliffs and the Jurassic coastal path.
We welcome all types of touring campers, including caravans, campervans, motorhomes and tents.
While we don't allocate pitches, we offer several electric hook-ups that must be pre-booked. There are numerous water taps around the main camping field and a grey waste disposal drain near the caravan site gate. Our recently refurbished and extended shower and toilet block features washroom facilities with a coin-operated washing machine and a separate tumble dryer.
Children sharing adult accommodation stay free of charge, while a nominal fee is applied for children on a separate pitch. Fire pits are allowed as long as they are raised, do not damage the turf, and are properly extinguished. Dogs are welcome free of charge but must be kept on leads within the campsite and around livestock. Owners are responsible for bagging and disposing of dog waste in bins provided by the entrance.
We also offer a range of holiday caravans with tasteful furnishings and an open-plan layout, creating a spacious and comfortable environment. All caravans have a mains water supply and mains electricity with coin-operated meters. They feature well-equipped kitchens with full-size cookers, electric fridges and microwaves, as well as shower rooms, toilets, central heating and double glazing. Most caravans sleep a maximum of 6 people, with one double and one twin bedroom and additional pull-out beds available in the lounge area if needed. A three-bedroom caravan is available upon request.
Branscombe is one of East Devon's prettiest villages, with its thatched cottages set against a backdrop of National Trust land. The village road winds past the Norman church and forge, leading to the beach. There are numerous walks in the area, which is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Heritage Coastal Path runs along the headland and is a popular walk for both visitors and locals. Within walking distance of the site is one of the two inns in the village, offering food and outdoor seating.
