Penhale Caravan & Camping Park overlooks the beautiful St Austell Bay and is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty just 1 ½ miles west of Fowey. This small, family run park offers you relaxation in pleasant surroundings. There is no overcrowding and no noisy club or bar.
Facilities include; Free hot showers, toilets, wash basins, hairdryers, hand dryers, separate room for washing dishes, chemical disposal.

Touring: Tourers and tents have a separate area all to themselves. The views from here are splendid looking out across farmland and the bay.
There are 16 electric hook-up points each in a 30' square pitch.

Static Caravans: There are just 14 static caravans of which 9 are for hire. All holiday homes are fully serviced and self contained. Each has mains electricity, mains water, toilet, shower, gas cooker and fire, refrigerator and television. Type F’s have electric heaters. Prices include gas and electricity. Each bed is provided with a duvet and cover. You will need to bring with you sheets and pillow cases and towels.

From Penhale, you can walk across fields to reach the public footpaths. There are several footpaths and walks criss-crossing the headland and many more locally. These range from walking the coastal path, alongside the river, through woods and villages.
It was around the Fowey area that Daphne du Maurier was inspired to write several of her novels. Fowey is an ancient town with a history to match. Walking the narrow streets, you can imagine what it might have been in times past, before roads were tarmacked, before the motor car and when the port was busy with tall, masted ships.
Polkerris, 1 ¼ miles to the west is a small village which has a pub right on the beach. The beach is popular with both families and couples offering safe bathing and soft sand. Dogs are not allowed on Polkerris during the summer but further round the headland is a delightful small bay called Polridmouth where dogs are allowed. Here there are two small beaches, again with sand and safe bathing. There are endless rock pools and places to explore. From here you can stroll up hill to the day marker on Gribben Head. The day marker is now opened by the National Trust on a Sunday during the summer (when the flag is flying it is open) and you can climb right up to the top of this tower and enjoy the breathtaking views all around.
