Appuldurcombe Gardens Holiday Park is an award winning 5 star family owned Holiday Park, situated within an area of outstanding natural beauty. The park is surrounded by beautiful open countryside, and is an ideal base for walking & cycling and to explore the nearby beaches and local attractions.
Touring & Camping: The main touring and camping area is situated within sheltered grassland, with upland views of The Stenbury Downs. There is a selection of grass and hard standing pitches for Touring, Motorhomes & Tents. There is also The Meadow area for relaxing and nature watching, which has a gentle babbling stream meandering alongside.
Static Caravans: We have a selection of 40 self - contained static caravans, which are arranged amid the walls of a Capability Brown-designed walled Orchard ( which is a traffic free area). Parking is allocated in an adjacent carpark. The static caravans are complete with toilet/showers, fridges with freezer compartments, toasters, microwaves, cookers with grills and colour TV’s. Some of the units are centrally heated, the rest have gas or electric heaters.
Orchard Lodge: The lodge is situated within the old walled orchard, and consists of one double and one twin bedroom and is centrally heated and fully inclusive ( excluding towels ). It has a shower room with toilet and basin. The lounge has a colour TV and is combined with the dining and kitchen area in a spacious open plan design. The kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment; toaster and kettle, all utensils and crockery are provided.
Folly East & Folly West Apartments: They are accessed via an external flight of stairs and are situated over the Licensed Café and lounge area. Both are fully inclusive ( excluding towels ) and are centrally heated with 1 double and 1 twin bedroom. They have a shower room with toilet and basin. There is also a separate toilet. The Lounge ( with balcony ) and dining area are spacious with an open plan design with flat screen TV with Freeview. The contemporary style kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave.
Wisteria Lodge: Is situated adjacent to the pool area, it has 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin room. The Master Bedroom has a king size bed with en-suite Jacuzzi bath, toilet and separate shower. There is also a separate shower room with toilet. ( Towels are provided in this unit ). The lounge and dining area are open plan and has a 40" flat screen TV with Freeview. The contemporary style kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave. The Lodge also has its own outside seating area, is centrally heated and double glazed, and is non-smoking accommodation.
Our Facilities comprise of an outdoor heated pool open Whitsun to mid-September, which is overlooked by the Licensed Cafe and Lounge area. Amenities include a children’s playground, and launderette.
The park is located in the valley of the Stenbury Downs and St Martin's Downs, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and an ideal spot for bird watching, and horse riding. For walkers and cyclists there is an excellent network of footpaths and cycle paths 50 yards from the site. Alternatively, if you prefer relaxing on a beach, we are only a short drive to the famous coves and beaches of Shanklin, Sandown and Ventnor, where you can enjoy sunbathing, swimming, sailing, windsurfing and hang gliding.
You can also travel around the coast of the island to find a haven of outdoor activities.
