Escape to Aldridge Hill Campsite, where you’ll find yourself surrounded by flowing streams, ancient woodland and open heathland. The atmosphere here feels like true wild camping, offering children plenty of space to roam and explore, while adults can relax and enjoy a much-needed break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
If you’re in need of supplies or fancy a night off from cooking, take a leisurely stroll or cycle into the nearby village of Brockenhurst. Along the way, you might encounter New Forest ponies and donkeys, adding to the charm of the experience. In Brockenhurst, you’ll find a variety of local shops, cafes and pubs to enjoy.
As a limited facility campsite, Aldridge Hill does not have showers or toilets, so it’s essential to bring your own chemical toilet.
Barbecues are permitted but must be robust, specifically for cooking and raised off the ground to prevent damage. In line with the New Forest Action Plan, disposable barbecues are not allowed and barbecues of any kind are prohibited outside the campsite.
For the safety of both visitors and wildlife, please avoid feeding, petting, or approaching the animals. Although they may seem friendly, they are unpredictable and can bite or kick. Ensure all food is securely sealed and kept out of reach of ponies.
Facilities at Aldridge Hill include a chemical disposal point, drinking water taps and there are 110 grass only pitches available for motorhomes, touring caravans, tents and trailer tents. The site is dog-friendly and offers seasonal pitches for extended stays.
