Wee Tree Howf: This is a charming treehouse in a stunning location. Situated among trees by a lochan and perched over a tumbling burn on stilts, it offers a unique and cherished experience. Enhance your stay by relaxing in our Ofuru wood-fired hot tub for £30 per night, enjoying serene evenings. At dusk, sit by the fire pit and listen to birds and the bubbling burn. Inside, a wood-burning stove keeps you cosy as you relax by the fire or in the slipper bath. The bedroom, atop a wooden staircase, offers storybook views. A private compost toilet and spacious shower are just across the bridge. In the evening, enjoy a barbecue by the Lochan, pull a drink from the "fridge in the burn," and take in views of the Ochils. Encounter various birds, wildlife, Highland cows, sheep, donkeys, goats, ponies, and more during your stay.
Summer Howf: The Summer Howf offers a unique glamping experience with a charming garden ambiance inside and out. This renovated Summer House, equipped with electricity, provides a garden-style glamping feel. Relax in the hot tub in the evening and enjoy views of the sunset over the fields. Secluded among trees at the top of the garden, the Summer Howf is near a duck pond, offering tranquility. Walk across the bridge to explore the garden and meet the animals. On sunny days, use the picnic blanket under the Ash tree, surrounded by ducks and birds. Tastefully furnished with a European flair, the Summer Howf has everything you need. With easy access to main roads and railways, you can explore the area or simply enjoy the beautiful grounds of Craighead.
Ash Tree Howf: Perched high in the branches, this beautifully crafted treehouse offers stunning 360-degree views of the Ochil hills. Experience tranquility in this self-sufficient tree house with internal cooking facilities, a shower, and a wood-burning stove/oven. A compost toilet is located downstairs. Guests love the meticulous design and exceptional glamping experience. In the evening, relax on the balcony overlooking the lochan and hills, cook on the wood-burning oven, and dine al fresco. Enjoy sightings of swallows, various birds, wildlife, sheep, ponies, donkeys, pygmy goats, and a variety of poultry including turkeys, rhea, and ducks.
Round Door Howfs: The Round Door Howfs, built into the hillside with grassy roofs and round doors, transport you to a magical world of storybooks. Enjoy the unique charm perfect for resting after an adventure. In the evening, sit outside, admire the Ochils, and watch the horses roam. Cook on the BBQ and dine al fresco. Experience abundant wildlife, including red kites, soay and ryeland sheep, ponies, donkeys, pygmy goats, and various poultry, with Highland cows Uigg and Beag as the stars. The Red Burrow features a striking red door, natural stone and wood construction, handmade details, and blooming wildflowers in spring. The Green Burrow, with its green door, offers the same enchanting experience. Surrounded by rolling countryside, you can either explore the area or relax in the two acres of Craighead grounds. These burrows provide a storybook escape like no other.
Whisky Howf: This charming, quirky cottage with a squint roof is nestled beside a lochan on Craighead Farm. Its bulging walls, sagging roof, and Scottish Oak Cruck frame give it a timeless feel. Surrounded by wildlife and animals, spend your time watching swallows dip, fish jump, and frogs call. Red kites and other wildlife often visit. At dusk, light the fire pit, cook on the BBQ, and stargaze. Retreat to your cosy Cruck cottage, enjoy the unique interior, watch the flames of the log-burning stove and savour a dram in the Whisky Howf.
