The Braids Caravan Park is a full facility park offering hard standing or grass pitches located in Gretna, just 8 miles from Carlisle in Dumfries & Galloway. We welcome Rallies and as active caravanners will do our utmost to ensure your visit is a success.
The caravan park offers both grass and hard standing pitches and there are a few super pitches on hard standing available with water and electric on hand. There are also have camper/motor home pitches which are quite level and all of our pitches have 10amp electric hook ups.
There are two blocks on the park, one containing a laundry and a disabled toilet. Our showers and toilets are cleaned every day and kept to a high standard of cleanliness. There is plenty of hot water available both on tap and for the showers. The latter costing 20p for approximately 7 to 10 minutes. There are hand dryers and hairdryers, the latter again costing 20p.
There are two chemical disposal points and two dishwashing areas and for camper/motor homes we have a wastewater point and a freshwater supply point.
Our park consists of 6 acres of ground with a variety of trees and flowers. We have several different types of birds in and around the park. Because we have trees and shrubs in the park they attract a wide variety of birds. Finches, Robins, Bluetits, Siskins, Yellow Hammers, Doves and Pigeons to name but a few.
