Burrowhead Holiday Village, a stunning holiday park owned by Lee Park Estates, is ideally located on the picturesque Dumfries and Galloway coast, offering a variety of accommodation for lodge, caravan, motorhome, and tent holidays in Scotland. Family and pet friendly, the park boasts exceptional views of the Solway Firth and Isle of Man, with access to miles of rugged, unspoiled coastline.
Despite its rural setting, Burrowhead Holiday Village provides a wealth of on-site facilities and activities, making it an ideal destination for family holidays year-round. Accommodation options range from luxurious lodges and static caravans to cosy chalets available for hire, as well as caravans and lodges for sale for those interested in owning a holiday home in Scotland. There are 90 touring pitches available for guests with tents, motorhomes and touring caravans. Please note, we have a private water supply and advise boiling water before consumption as a precaution.
Our on-site amenities cater to both owners and holidaymakers alike, ensuring convenience and enjoyment throughout your stay. From laundry facilities and a shop/café for last-minute essentials to private parking for all guests, we have everything covered. The park also features a range of leisure facilities, including a brand new outdoor 25m pool (open May 1st to the end of September, with unrestricted access during school holidays from 10am to 4pm daily, excluding Tuesdays), a heated indoor jacuzzi, toddler splash pool, and fun slide. For recreation, guests can enjoy activities such as Crazy Golf, Pitch and Putt, and our Putting Green. The family-friendly Headland Bar, snooker room, amusement Game Zone, and children’s play area further enhance the holiday experience.
Nearby, the village of The Isle of Whithorn offers a tearoom, pub, and church, while Whithorn, 6 miles away, provides additional amenities including a small off licence, library, post office and convenience store. For larger shopping needs, Newton Stewart is 25 miles away and Stranraer is 35 miles away. The nearest bus stop is located in The Isle of Whithorn, accessible via a 2-mile walk from the holiday village.
