Marthrown of Mabie near Dumfries offers charming glamping accommodation and camping facilities, based in a glorious setting. We are based in Mabie Forest and perfect for a peaceful retreat in Dumfries & Galloway.
We have a range of glamping accommodation available, offering something for everyone, including yurts, a bell tent and a roundhouse.
Glamping Yurts: We have a variety of glamping yurts to choose from, great for couples, small groups and families. Wych Elm is a deluxe yurt that sleeps 4, Larch is a family yurt that sleeps 6 and Oak Yurt is also great for families.
All the yurts are furnished with furniture made by craftsmen, 240v electricity, a TV and DVD, Wi-Fi and USB charging plug. The have wooden buildings with a dry composting loo, a hot shower and a fridge freezer. All the yurts include wood burning stove, a BBQ, a chimenea and a picnic table.
Celtic Roundhouse: Our roundhouse is based in a secluded setting and comes with a composting toilet, hot shower and fully equipped cooking shelter. Please bring torches, sleeping bags and pillows.
Belty the Bell Tent: We have a bell tent that sleeps 4 in camp beds. Facilities include lanterns, fairy lights, 4 bean chairs and a little rustic kitchen. Benches and a table are perfect for relaxing on.
Camping pitches are also available. The pitches offer views over the Lake District Fells and Solway Firth. Facilities include 2 dry composting toilets, a private outdoor hot shower, washing-up area, cooking shelter and campfire space. A sauna and hot tub can be hired for a charge.

You can explore Mabie Forest whilst staying with us. Lots of walks can be enjoyed and you can try the famous 7 Stanes mountain biking routes. Dalscone Farm Fun and Mabie Farm Park are both great for the whole family. Attractions to visit include:
