Red Squirrel Campsite in Glencoe is a haven for nature lovers looking for somewhere special to stay. Nestled in 22 acres of woodland and surrounded by gorgeous mountains, we are perfect for a memorable holiday in Argyll.
We are great for a wild camping holiday, set in some of the country’s most stunning and rugged terrain. Campervans are welcome for overnight stays, but we do not have electric hook-ups or grey water or chemical toilet disposal facilities.
Onsite we have toilets and hot water, plus there is a food truck onsite Friday-Sunday.
Running through the site is the River Coe, offering a great spot to relax whilst watching the spectacular sunset. In winter and spring, deer, foxes, wild ducks, woodpeckers, wander on the site.
We are ideally situated for exploring the area, great for climbers, walkers and canoeists. You can explore the gorgeous woodland at Glencoe Lochan or learn about the area’s history at Glencoe Folk Museum. Excellent attractions to visit include:
Glencoe Lochan Trail.
Sgorr na Ciche.
Loch Leven.
Glen Etive.
The Meeting of Three Waters.
