Castle Guards Farm Retreat in Bridekirk offers wonderful glamping accommodation, based on a secluded private valley near the north western edge of Cockermouth. Nestled on our gorgeous working farm in Cumbria, we are the ideal place to escape from the pressures of modern life.
Our charming pods are in an open valley, near fabulous ash trees and magical wildlife. We truly are a haven for nature lovers looking for somewhere special to stay. Each pod even has a fantastic wood-fired hot tub, great for relaxing in with a glass or two whilst savouring the views.
All the pods sleep 6 people in 1 double, 1 twin and 2 bunk beds, all perfect for a peaceful night’s sleep. They also have an outdoor picnic table and BBQ for al fresco dining when the sun is shining. Excellent facilities in all the pods include:

We are in a brilliant position for discovering all that the area has to offer. The site is on the start of the National Cycle Route 10 and lots of picturesque walking routes are in the area. In the area, there are lots of excellent restaurants and a local whisky distillery. Some of the restaurants also deliver takeaways. You can enjoy a magical experience meeting alpacas at Blencogo Farm or enjoy a fascinating day out at The Beacon, a modern museum on local history. Superb attractions to visit include:
