Greencarts Campsite and Bunkhouse in Humshaugh is perfect for a memorable holiday on a gorgeous working farm in the scenic Tyne Valley. Nestled in the stunning Northumberland countryside, we are perfect for the ultimate rural retreat.
Our spacious campsite is great for a tranquil break in the country. You can pitch your tents on either the small or big camping fields, with 12 electric hook ups available along the top of our large field. We also have hard standing available for campervans and caravans.
All of the campers have use of a range of excellent facilities, including standard washroom facilities with disabled areas, a sink area for washing dishes and a washer and a dryer. Throughout the site there are lots of picnic benches, great for unwinding on whilst savouring the amazing views.
We also offer accommodation in our charming bunkhouse which includes a private room for yourself or groups and use of the shower room, toilet and kitchen. The kitchen is well-equipped for home-cooking and you can relax in front of the TV after a day sightseeing. Accommodation is also available in our cosy and intimate camping barn, home to a dormitory-style room with 11 beds. The small kitchenette is well-equipped to suit your needs.
Our campsite can cater for large groups including scout groups, Duke of Edinburgh Awards and other challenge groups – please enquire for details.
We are in the ideal location for discovering all that the area has to offer, with the farm sitting almost on top of the world-famous Hadrian’s Wall. The magnificent countryside is great for walkers and cyclists, with lots of routes to enjoy. Brilliant attractions to visit in the county include Alnwick Castle & Gardens, Kielder Water, The Scottish Borders and The National Trust site of Cragside.
