Tan Hill Inn offers wild camping and touring pitches in the gorgeous Yorkshire Dales. Based near Richmond in a stunning countryside setting, we are perfect for a tranquil getaway.
Our picturesque site is the ideal place to escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life, set in a wonderful countryside location. We offer pitches for wild camping, motorhomes and camper vans.
We no longer take bookings, you can simply turn up and get a spot. Please check in at the bar pay your £10 and receive a parking pass. Limited facilities include one outside toilet and shower.
Onsite we have a lovely pub to enjoy (Britain’s highest public house at 1,732 feet (528m) above sea level). We offer delicious food and offer a range of fantastic ales from local breweries. We have a large range of bottled ciders, spirits, wines and soft drinks.
This part of the country has lots of gorgeous walking routes to enjoy whilst admiring the amazing natural landscape. The nearest shops are in Kirby Stephen, around a 25 minute drive away. Excellent attractions to visit include:
