Old York Forest Campsite in Barmby Moor offers pitches for caravans, tents and motorhomes in a magical setting. We are nestled on the edge of 22 acres of gorgeous woodland called Allerthorpe Common and only a 15-minute drive to York. We are perfect for people looking to escape the pressures of modern life in this beautiful area of North Yorkshire.
Our small and tranquil site includes a dog walking area, a nature area and 3 lakes. We are ideal for couples, families and individuals looking to reconnect with nature.
We offer hard standing and grass pitches for caravans and motorhomes, including a brand-new 16amp electric hook-up. Facilities onsite include a toilet and shower block. Seasonal pitches/caravan storage is also available, please enquire for details.
You can enjoy strolling around our 3 lakes, with some fish available for budding fishermen. Dotted around the site we have picnic areas with tables and chairs included. You can also walk your four-legged friend around our 7-acre field. There are 300 acres of neighbouring woodland to walk around, perfect for a sunny day.
The famous city if York is only a short drive away and has beautiful medieval streets to explore. You can see The Minster, National Railway Museum, Jorvik Viking Centre, Museum Gardens, City Walls & plenty more. Nearby Beverley has lots of end shops, restaurants and historical sites, including Beverley Minster, famous for its 13th Century stone carvings and stained glass. Further attractions to see include:
